Montage M6 GTR

Montage M6 GTR Gallery

Available: 1984 to 1989

Brief history of car:

The UVA Montage M6 GTR started life as a VW Beetle based kit offered in America called the Manta Montage. The kit was based on the McLaren M6. UVA imported the kits and sold them to the UK market - one which wasn't ready for a VW Beetle based super car replica.

Around 1986 saw UVA rework the Montage, getting rid of the VW Beetle chassis and creating it's own custom chassis with central monocoque. This enabled V8 power courtesy of the Rover V8.

Common fitment to go with the Rover V8 was a 5 speed Renault transaxle from the Renault 27. Production halted when UVA ceased trading around 1990.
