Brief history of car:
The Lightning GT and TS were inspired by the Corvette Stingray and came to the market in the early - mid eighties.
Based on a simple steel box section ladder frame chassis the Lightning utilised Mk 3 Ford Cortina running gear and engines up to the V6.
Bodywork was fibreglass, the GT was the targa roofed version and the TS was the soft top version of which only 1 was believed to have been built. Altogether 10 cars were said to have been made before the manufacturer disappeared.
