Brief history of car:
The GTM Coupe was first called the Cox GTM after GTM's first owner Brian Cox with GTM standing for Grand Touring Mini.
The Coupe was a mid engined sports racer based around the Mini A-series engine and running gear. Diminutive in size, as you might expect for a Mini based kit car, the car rung up some early race series successes and more than 200 where sold within the first 3 years.
The GTM Coupe is based on a steel monocoque chassis with unstressed fibreglass bodywork. Very much a classic kit car today but due to its endearing popularity the Coupe is still produced by Primo designs. You can generally always see one or two at kit cars shows throughout the year.
