Welcome to Classic-Kitcars. Comprehensive classic kitcar listings, picture galleries and articles from the golden age of kit cars.
Available: 1981 to 1989
Brief history of car:
The Midas Bronze was the follow up in 1981 to the Midas Mk1. Slight design changes such as the indicators in the bumper line tell them apart.
Diminutive in appearance (they really are tiny) they make up for in overall engineering integrity. An all fibreglass monocoque was cutting edge and proved strong.
The Midas Bronze took Austin Mini mechanicals and gave them a 2nd life in a rustless structure. Performance is what you made of it, handling like on rails as per the Mini. 1985 saw an upgrade to the Metro based Midas Gold.
